  1. Loads of buses go down Soi 2 at all times of the day/night. I've never waited longer than a few minutes even in the early hours of the morning.

Hotel looks nice enough but 1690 is a bit steep imho.

True, although it is actually 1590 Bht per night in stead of 1690 Bht.

But there's no dfifference with the 1200 Bht room.

My opinion : if You're able to get the 1200 Bht room, You'll get a room worth your money.

If those are not available, for 1590 Bht/night, I would check the alternatives.

PS : took the 1590 bht room as I was too lazy to look for alternatives and really love the pool.....

  2. i will be there from august 29 to september 19, at 1500 baht perday for a upper pool side room ;

the location is great : not far from soi buakhao, not far from beach road, Carrefour and Tops are within some minutes.

How did You get that rate ???? The site gives quite different prizes !

  3. Although cautious about this subject, I think that capital punishment should be applied to those that "willingly" took innocent lives.

The price of keeping these in prison & alive is high.

Personally, I think that money could be put at a better use for those in need who have never done anything wrong.

E.g. : lots of single parents, unemployed & homeless people who are just happy to have one meal a day, some warmth in this winter period and a roof above them.

  4. I'd say keep it simple : any today's 6 Meg camera will do nicely for non-professionel photo shooting.

Thaïland is not a bargain for the latest elektronic devices, but one can see some good deals on "yesterday's"

    technology.

I'd go along with the previous poster : let the lady choose the cam (within your budget of course), I think she'll be pleased : Thaï women are like all women : when it comes to shopping.....!!!

  5. Stayed at PBR from Oct 6th till Oct 18th, had a room on the 6th floor facing the back.

Very little noise from construction, although as already mentioned : the walls are very thin.

The room service is great & fast, nice bathroom and the bed is of good quality.

Liked the security system (you need a badge to get through to the elevator) and the TucTuc was on hand 24/7 to get you to 2nd road or Soi Bukhauw. Going through the new mall you're opposite soi 13 & it takes less than 10 minutes to get to Beachroad.

    I'll stay there again.

  6. Only flew once with Air France, but that was in the nineties......

What I recall from that flight was that it was uneventfull, so that's good.

Good thing was that when arriving at CDG (Paris), a bus was waiting to take the transit passengers

to their aircraft, in my case BRU (brussels), this because of the delay we had en-route (bad weather).

Make sure you arrive in time : depending on the terminal where you have to be, it might mean that

you need to take a bus to go to another terminal....and that is timeconsuming.

    Have a good flight !
