  1. I went out with dyslexic girl last night. All went well and we were really getting into it, until she cooked my sock.
  2. When I go into a bar wearing a (what I tend to think is a fairly) distinguished beard, and all the BGs call me Santa Claus....
  3. I have been on blood pressure medication for many years and also have Viagra prescribed by my doctor - not a problem. If you are on heart medication, then you don't take Viagra, but can use Cialis in most circumstances. I also happen to drink (on average) 8 pints of beer per day, and the Viagra/Kamagra still work okay for me.
  4. I'm with you, papillon, - love it! However, I also feel pretty shithouse about what the German must be feeling, and tend to think the worst of his Thai debtor too.
  5. I've always used Pattaya tap water to brush my teeth and also to rinse. Who drinks water anyway? - Absolutely crappy stuff for drinking, unless it has malt, hops and sugar in it and has been processed properly into fine ale. Once I took a couple of tablets with a drink of water in a glass at a restaurant in Bangkok - was shitting (even in my sleep) for days.
  6. I think this version has slightly better film footage - at least more recognisable to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvuGgW41a_Y...feature=related
  7. I visited many places that dengue fever was prevalent in my 20 odd years in the R.A.N. and was lucky enough not to contract it. I reckon the mosquitoes were afraid of the alcohol that exuded from my body, and I've used the same anti-fever treatment ever since. Places like the Phillipines, Fiji, Thailand, Singapore, New Guinea - all had outbreaks at times when we were visiting. Mosquitoes still avoid me, but thank your gods that nothing else seems to be repelled by my state (or at least I don't think so, he he!).
  8. Bloody Amazing - how can a kid like that have such a mature voice? Makes me want to make some more kids.... (and I mean that in a clean and nice way).
  9. We stayed at Metro Apartments in April and it was pretty quiet (at least after midnight,or so) and hardly ever heard a sound, other than the occasional door slamming by some inconsiderates. However, we both had rooms on the top floor, and found it a long haul when pissed - the girls helped us UP though....
  10. Just don't bring too many clothes - too difficult to carry bags around. I usually buy a new lot of shorts, t-shirts, polo shirts when I get to Thailand that will keep me going in Australia until the next trip. If you actually find time to visit a temple whilst in Pattaya (and I'm buggered if I know how) then just buy a pair of light long pants (so cheap and so easy) when you need them. Oh, sometimes I have to buy another quite cheap backpack to get my new clobber home - Bugger!
  11. Whilst it hasn't been mentioned since 2008, I really enjoyed breakfasts at Robin's Nest at top of Soi Diana this year when I was there, and will probably go there again.
