As a keen photographer I was intrigued when I came across this thread. The OP seems to be be coming up with all sorts of reasons why you can or cannot take or publish someone's photo with or without their permission. Well, I had a quick look for any photos of him already posted in this forum and came across this. He is the guy with the beard second from the right in the photo. I will offer to lend him a shaver if I see him when he is out and about in Pattaya this week.....

I bought some of that and it got into my eyes and it begun to sting and burn like crazy. Must be the caffeine. It was difficult to wash the stuff out of your eyes. I never used it again.

These taxi drivers quote these 'all inclusive' prices but then they start stinging you for the toll way charges once you are en route and then a tip at the end.

You just checked eh? Why do I not find it surprising that air fares are sky high (if you'll pardon the pun) with just over a month to go before peak high season?

I could have sworn that I saw the guy in question behind the decks at Insomnia but I could be mistaken.

Pattaya....not exactly the worst place in the world to die.

Only one third of Americans have a passport...don't have any stats on the number who can work out how to apply for one.

Is there a problem with the alcohol content in the beer in Thailand? In my home country if I have 5 beers I am normally a little sore he following day. But in Thailand I can knock back 10 or more and still have energy to carry on night after night. Must be the adrenaline.

Even though mineral water in Thailand is cheap, using it to brush your teeth seems like a waste pf resources. You are creating a big carbon footprint if nothing else. Alll that water needs to be transported. You can't avoid coming into contact with contaminated water in Thailand. It will be in your consumption by some means...washed vegetables, ice in drinks, etc...so best get exposed to it as soon as possible and build up a resistance.

Any sort of draft beer because it is cheap. As you have to buy a drink in every bar you visit the costs can mount up. It is disappointing that the range of foreign beers is so small. Would love to see Peroni or Grolsch, etc.

I'm sure that there is an optimal time to book say 3 months for particular routes and if you book further ahead than that then you don't really get that much more in the way of reductions. Has anyone had any luck in booking last minute or just turning up at the airport and checking the prices on the day of departure. In slow season there are many flights leaving half full so you would have thought that the airlines would want to drop their prices in the day or so before the flight. But they don't seem to do so with Thailand flights.

In LK Metro you don't get as much 'foreign muck' thronging the street as you do when you go down Walking Street so that should be a welcome change for some.
