  1. Used it once last trip - by accident really, I was aiming at the English place next door but missed. :leaving

So, once I was sitting, I ordered anyway. Can't remember what, but it was one of the best Indian meals I've had. Definitely recommended.

  2. Well Apple Bar has been in this location for about 3 1/2 years now and that time has come around again.

I am surprised we are still here I would have thought Apple would have killed me by now or I would have strangled her! But we are still at it. Running a bar I mean!

Last year her birthday was a low key event , We just laid on a little food for friends and never even advertised it.

But this year we are pulling out all the stops. Music, Food, Dancing, Karaoke, Coyote Dancers!

Please come along and enjoy, All are welcome.

Apple Bar is located on Soi Chaiyaphruk 1, next to the Junction with Jomtien's new 2nd road, on the beach side.

Just look for the illuminated 5 meter tall dancing lady outside, you can't miss it.

    Hope to see you there!

In the air travel section you've put that you're flying out of LOS on June 11. Going to miss your own party? :clueless

  3. There has been a bit of fuss over a new sign which I believe is at the end of the motorway informing us to turn left for 'Pattaya Kiang'... I was always amused that entering same highway from the Railway Line Bypass Rd you are met with a plethora of large signs telling you the rules and regulations, speed limits etc, yet it comes to a dead end in 200m. But my favourite was the sign at a Soi Honey Inn MP 'Room For Rent, Free Wife'......(WIFI)

It is an insight into Thai Psyche that they will spend good money on a large Thai/English sign and yet make a complete balls-up of the English side of it, errors that a simple dictionary could have prevented. It makes the place such 'fun'.

In Soi Honey Inn it COULD be free wife! :P

  4. There's a few establishments in boyztown which serve ginger beer(s).

Seriously though, I used to make my own Ginger Beer and Sloe gin, until once while I was picking sloe berries a bloke came along and asked if he could suck my cock. I had no idea I'd stumbled upon a "gay" haunt, and before anyone says it, it is my story and I'm bloody sticking to it!.

Good crop of sloes this year apparently. I might even take a few orders for Butch's home made Sloe gin if anyone is interested.

    Was he any good? :P

  5. That seems to prove that they aren't targeting genuine tourists, but those on tourist visas who aren't actually tourists. Makes sense to me.

The more I read, the more I like this Junta. If they can make all that they're doing stick, Thailand will certainly change - though I think they're up against too many vested interests and the basic mindset of Thai's not to "rock the boat" for the changes to last.
