To the OP. Since your 55. What age group are you looking at?

I always enjoy reading Evil's dining experiences in Pattaya. Thank you for taking the time to post. I was surprised at the loud music at the Pattaya Beer Garden.. Pete always made sure the music wasn't to loud.

One trip we were double bumped in SFO. United gave us vouchers for $1000USD each. We flew from Philly to Bali for free. When we got to Bali our hotel was fully booked with a Kia auto dealer convention. The only room available was a 5 room suite with our own butler. We stayed there for two weeks using hotel points. Only hotel room I'd be willing to stay in for the rest of my life. Best family vacation ever!

Welcome back. What happened?
My posting privileges was revoked by MM.

Great fare on All Nippon from Philadelphia to BKK for $723USD all in. I found this on Expedia.
-
If it wasn't for PattayaTalk I'd still be going to BKK. I've made a $50USD.

Yet again you show a distinct lack of a sense of humour!!!
What's funny about a guy who follows me from thread to thread spouting the same thread fuck?
-
Was it in Russian about jazz, single malt and swimming pool inspection procedures.
What dos this have to do with the topic? This guy follows me from thread to thread spouting the same nonsense over and over.

I wonder how people with warrants get into Thailand in the first place. You would think their passports would somehow be flagged.
I'm surprised Thailand isn't hooked into the European and American criminal databases. I've talked to retired US Customs guys and the US data base is available at no cost to other governments.

As soon as my VA kidney transplant is completed. I'm on the transplant list.

Lovely report and photos, Evil.
As I've gotten older -- wow, I hate typing those words -- I've become less concered about food quantity and more concerned about food quality. Accordingly, buffets for the sake of being a buffet no longer interest me. I'd rather have a good, solid meal in a single portion (simple or fancy) and have it appropriately priced than try and gorge the most calories per baht that I can just because.
Too bad too. This place, in terms of decor, looks really nice.
To quote Evil " There was nothing wrong with the food except the lack of variety." I'd be willing to give them a try at least once. The decor is interesting and over the top.

Hi Guys
New to this forum but not new to Thailand though its been a few years.
Could anyone tell me the cheapest return flights from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh next October please?
Looks like around £180 return if booked in the UK
AirAsia has flights for $130USD return.

If you think 105 minutes is bad, my last trip after I caught a bus down to Pattaya from Ekemai Bus station in Bangkok and it took 150 minutes..Drove slow but the worst bit was as we were nearing Pattaya he pulled into an LPG station and then kicked us all off while he filled up with gas.
Sounds like a reasonable safety regulation.

You must make a mistake ?? There is nothing "reasonable" in BPH prices !
Many expats here surnamed it "The Hilton Hospital"; not for nothing.
I also remember a report from MM here, not long ago, with a very "nice" bill for not such a big problem.
I paid less then $100USD for the lab tests, treatment and drugs. Service was fast and the treatment worked. Well worth the money.
-
so not really that relevant, then?
It's a relevant as any other post in this topic. I stated it was years ago and I was more then satisfied with the service, diagnoses and treatment. This is a opinion based forum. This is my opinion based on actually going to the hospital.

How many years?
Just for relevance.
KM
I think it was 8 years ago.
-
Years ago, I used Bangkok/Pattaya hospital. Doctor spoke excellent English. Service was fast and the price was reasonable. More important the diagnosis was correct and the treatment worked.

Might have to go there after the Xmas dinner elsewhere to have some Xmas pudding!
I miss my mom's fruitcakes :-(
I like fruitcakes and the following is the best cake, I've ever eaten. Maybe you could have a board member bring you one.

I was paying 10 Baht when I started coming to Pattaya in 01 or 02. Given the rate of inflation over the years. IMHO they deserve a raise.

Check out http://udonmap.com/udonthaniforum/ Sometimes a change of scenery can do wonders for the old spark. Nha Trang in Vietnam is a mongers sweet spot. Same can be said for Cambodia and the Philippines.

Then why do you insist on belaboring your error? Do we need to explain to the moron the difference between 'hot', 'hotter' and 'hottest'?
PS It was hot here yesterday too..... your website claims it to be winter!
LOL. So many "almost interesting comments" over which is the hottest month April or the end of July. LOL. Some guys have way to much time on their hands.

People are more likely to believe info that comes from sources that have boots on the ground than somebody like GoogleDUSA who hasn't set foot on Thai soil for years!!!
