How do you guys afford to travel to Thailand regular.

My husband and I are what you call middle income earners.

But we can only afford (as well as our bosses allow)to travel every 12 months to 18 months.

You guys don't live with mums do you.

I can only speak for myself. I work away from home and get 6 months away from work a year to do as I wish. I know, it's a hard job but somebody has got to do it.. :D

I live in Perth,so it costs me between $700 and $800 return,on Royal Brunei

Its cheaper for me to holiday in Asia than on the East Coast of Aus.

Ned

Ditto for me. I just forgot to add that important bit of information. Thanks Ned. :banghead

I work my arse off! Stay single as I don't want ant distractions from "the white ones", don't go to pubs/clubs, save all my money amongst other things!!! for LOS, usually for 3 months a year in 2 trips, I calculate on spending 6/7 thousand baht a day not including hotels so when you add it up its a few bahts worth..

But now thinking of going to oz instead to see you shiela

I have pretty much the same answer about the money. I have cut out bars and

impulse spending. I happen to live close to work so I do not have to drive back and forth -- I have only bought gasoline for my car once this year.

Thanks Guys

Only wished we had found Pattaya when we were younger.

Wouldn't waste money on cars and get rich quick schemes.

And the Aust. GOV. Bullshit about having kids.

Ah youth is wasted on the young.

You being the female in the relationship; why do you like a sex tourism destination like Pattaya? :banghead

After many years of hard work, own company and no need to worry about money. Always fly business or 1st class in good comfort - stay at best hotels and enjoy anything I want- go to LOS 4-5 times a year - where incidentaly I also own a company! Very lucky money is not the issue...life is too short to have worries about that as well!

I work strictly on a consulting basis, which means companies pay me too much just so I can tell them the obvious. I build a 2-week break into my consulting engagements, i.e.- I arrange to have a 2-week break between ending one project and starting the next one.

So far, so good.

I find that I am more relaxed in Pattaya and don't have tried to fit in.

I envey the girls they are all so beautiful. Thier not bitchy, to me anyway.

If a relationship was only about how a partners looks I would of lost my husband years ago. (23 years now)

The Thai's so far have made us comforable, which makes us relaxed and happy.

I am one of those rare women that is not judgemetal and as long us no one is forced to do something. Then each to there own.

I dont drink at home But I can when on holidays as I dont have to drive, cook, clean, pay bills etc.

So I can drink and smile with beautiful people why wouldn't I enjoy Pattaya. :chogdee2

Lightly used?

Well, um, yea... I hardly ever drink...much...sort of, well I only drink while I'm awake..for the most part. Yea, I would say lightly used, in a round about way. Sort of.

To paraphrase the late George Best: "I spent most of my money on booze and birds. The rest I just squandered."

Maybe that's why I can't afford to return to Pattaya until 2007.
