liked the areca last time, thinking of trying sunshine residence rooms soi 8 they seems quiet expensive how good are they?

1000 Baht - Sunshine - 1300 peak - more if you want a superior or bigger bed

You definitely want to stay in the Residence wing NOT the old hotel wing.

A Sea View Room on the the 10th, 11th or 12th floor has a sweeping view of the bay. That and the location are what you are paying for, but it doesn't have much else to offer. Plain, worn, yellow/brown water, staff will rip you off if they think they can get away with it, but, then, what's new about that. The view is the only reason I've stayed there twice.
