Internet Nr Mabprachan lake

hi all

i live out near mabprachan lake.

just up a small lane near mulligans irish bar.

anyone know internet options for out here ?

so far it looks like tot & cat are to far from the exchange for adsl.

banglamung cable are over subscribed and not taking new users

sattlelite internet is reportedly slowwww

 

i currently use a gprs/edge mobile phone on dtac connected to my pc which gives me a 256kbps connection .. so still 4 times faster than a old 56k modem .. but still takes forver and a day on dloads

 

anyone know any options ?

Well you asked for options, not improvements.

I live pretty close to you and use Edge on AIS. I pre-pay per month for 50hrs at only about 220 baht.

It is truly useless and I expect it to bring on my first heart attack. Most of the day internet access outside Thailand just isn't there and it is slow slow slow... when I can connect.

I live on Soi Country Club, off soi 13, about 4K lower than you towards town.

 

Use TT&T Maxnet 1 meg connection and an lucky to get between 36 kbps to zero connection on a bad day to 200kbps on a very good one, normally in the early hours.

 

Every time I complain they say “it’s your area, …no good”

Sounds like you are better off sticking to what you’ve got. Faster than my ADSL.
