Pros: Good location, cheap breakfast, cheap rental clubs.

Cons: Little old rooms worn with thin stained carpets and old towels, paper thin doors (you will hear EVERYTHING outside), screaming kids in the pool in morning, surly owner, cliquey golf groups that acted like asssholes a few times (I am a golfer), funny stuff on bill on checkout, usually clueless staff.

Summary: would NOT go back again.

You would do better in this price range at staying at a newer place like the seaside on soi 3, eastinny place soi 8 and playing golf through the various bars advertised in the Pattaya Mail with a PSC card or through solar golf. IMO

have a mate has stayed there a few times

i have been there to meet up w/ him

nice place, HOWEVER:

kind of a clicky place as noted

he felt uncomfortable dragging multiple girls up to his room

the "disapproval look" was the issue

good location though...

Stayed there a few times and agree with Hub. Past its use by date now.

If Stephen spent a few quid on the rooms it could be good value again, but as it is the curtains dont even cover the windows! :D

  • 3 weeks later...

Never stayed there. Always stayed at the Sandy Spring next door.

Much nicer place with great staff.. More money.

Haven does have great food at affordable prices... Highly recommended..

Golf outtings 3 days a week... If you want it..

Costs are inline , but with the scheduling, It can exhaust an entire day.

Yes, the crew are very clickly (British and Aussie).....

But, I grew to know them and they were kind to me. I am from USA.

I will always stop in , eat , and talk to Steve.

But I think I will sleep somewhere else.

The Haven is a dump! Do not bother staying there. The web site looks great but the service is awful and the staff think that they are doing you a huge favor by letting you stay there.

Try having a shower where there is no water pressure and tell the staff about it. They will just shrug it off like it is not a problem.

It used to be a good hotel but not anymore.
