Do you earn your living on the internet ,im looking into this

Recommended Posts

Plenty of work in Oil and Gas if you have right qualifications and experiance in this kind of work ,many xpats living here in Khon Kaen work in this industry 4/6 weeks on and 4 weeks off ,I have been trying to get into this field as a planning engineer ,I have the qualifications but due to lacking experiance in this industry I am still applying for jobs but still to find a job offer.

Also some expats make a living in Thailand using the internet for their business.

I am also looking into this now to keep me busy and making a little money on the internet ,at the moment Its in my mind only and I have started to do market research ,what do people want ,is it already on offer ,can I compete with the market ,can I produce the right product at the right price.

Do I need to learn more skills to enable me to enter the business world on the internet.

I think I may have found a niche in the market ,so at the moment I looking into this .

So at the moment this is my work/project ,as I was a very good planing/cost engineer I am enjoying doing this and who knows if all goes well I may have a nice business working from my home here in Thailand.

I think if you want something you will find but you must put time and effort to find this .

If any other BM is making a living on the internet be great to hear from you ,maybe we can share some ideas together.

I do think in next 2 months I may be ready to create a website ,then looking for best way to get traffic to my site ,so if any BMs can give me advice on website creation and traffic I would love to hear from you.

You can PM me if you like

THIS was posted to me on another forum.

Is there any BMs who have contacts in this field as I know very little about this

see below

To create a product website is usually quite fast cheap and cheerful...

Problem is that by your description you will need am "engine" behind it to facilitate sales, payments etc - which is more expensive and time consuming (depend on the range of your products).

You will then need someone to maintain it, update it and most importantly, do all the "behind the scenes" stuff to bump it up on the search engines.

I have a mate here in BKK who does all this if you want.

Thanks for this ,I know I will have to pay out some cash ,no issue if price is right ,I will do some forcast costing against

system design /maintenace of system/product cost against sales= profit/time.

When I have this information I will draft out what I require my website to do

Who ever gave you this information is just looking to make money for his friend...all of this can be done easily by yourself.

Buy hosting from a reputable web host...will cost you $5.95-$9.95 a month for a shared server account. You can set up payment processing web templates, blogs etc. through the hosting cpanel...in some cases it will cost you a bit more but not much.

Research SEO and you can bump your own site up in the search rankings.

Do your research up front and you won't have to pay anyone a dime.

Of course all of this takes time and if you don't know much about web sites there is a learning curve.

Good, you will need lot of time, :nod

but you also need a new good idea to start ! ;)

and you must know that if your idea is good, it will be stolen in less than 1 month :whistling:

Internet is a very powerful but competitive market...
