This surprised me until I realized you mean the crappy 1978 remake.

 

Now, since both the original 1946 version, and the one to which you refer, have the same name, can I put forth

It's a grey area. If you had said "The Big Sleep" (1978), this wouldn't be an issue. We've done Bogart to death lately, so let's go with any actor from

"The Big Sleep" (1978).

 

Over to you guys...my earlier Humphrey Bogart is not a valid response. I disqualified my own response, lol.

I think you were ultimately correct, we are meant to name an actor from the same movie. Despite 2 movies having the same name, they are not 'The Same Movie', being decades apart. ( I liked the 1978 version with RM)... but I know another one in it.
