Can you get NEXIUM over the counter in Pattaya?

Yes,i have seen it for sale in many pharmacies though i have my stash from the UK

Might be quite expensive.Dont know if they do a Thai version although they have plenty of antacid medicine.

Miracid seems to be the locally preferred generic.

Since Dosate and Miracid are not the same as Nexium, you can quote prices for Tylenol and be no less helpful. Neither are "generic" Nexium.

 

The two aforementioned are Omeprazole and Nexium is Esomeprazole, and Nexium is taken by people who don't get relief from Omeprazole which is common. Esomeprazole is an S-enantiomer (mirror image isomer) of Omeprazole.

 

Omeprazole (Losec and Prilosec may even be more recognized names) are not even prescription drugs in most countries any more. In a pinch taking twice the dose of Omeprazole might offer relief and in a pinch they would be better than nothing if antacids were added.

 

What would help the guy, and I'd do this were I there, is to ask my pharmacy how much Nexium costs then post that here. Usual is 40 mg.
