The Sanuk Day Care Center in Jomtien has a new colour printer/scanner/copier thanks to the generosity of a FreePlayo player. A Melissa Cosgrove Children’s Foundation (MCCF) project, Sanuk is a day care facility and nursery for the children of building and construction industry workers in the Pattaya area.

Keith Storey, Group Sales Manager of The Nova Group, has played FreePlayo nearly every day since he registered on the free website in January. On March 7 he struck lucky with five correct logos and won the top prize of 5,000 FreePlayo points. With another 2,500 points accumulated through a combination of winning plays and friend invitations, Mr Storey had enough points to claim the 5,000 Baht donation to the MCCF sponsored by FreePlayo.

“There are plenty of great cash and prize Rewards on FreePlayo,” said Mr Storey. “However, I know the fantastic work Tracy (Cosgrove) does through MCCF and thought that the sponsored donation would be a fun and fulfilling way to use my points.”

At the top of MCCF founder Tracy Cosgrove’s wish list was a printer for the new Sanuk Day Care Center, which will receive its first intake of children in April. On March 16, FreePlayo co-founders Matt O’Sullivan and David Gillbanks purchased a Canon printer/scanner/copier and took it to Sanuk to meet with Ms Cosgrove and Mr Storey.

“I wish to thank Keith and FreePlayo for their generosity,” said Ms Cosgrove. “We are delighted to be associated with FreePlayo; not only for the donation Rewards that benefit the kids, but also for the fantastic exposure our work has received on FreePlayo’s website, blog, and social networks.”

Tracy Cosgrove has given hope to thousands of youngsters in Thailand through the MCCF, which she established in 2003 after seeing first-hand the terrible conditions in which children are forced to live.

Her transforming work in orphanages, with street children, and for youngsters with AIDS and disabilities has received international recognition; and inspired hundreds of people who have been touched by her courageous story.

Now based in Pattaya, MCCF is working with the booming construction industry to improve the lives of children living with their parents in squalid labour camps around the cities of Pattaya and Bangkok.
