Recommended Posts

A mate who is currently out there has booked me a room here but as I don't 100% trust his taste !! :o Has anyone got any thoughts / experiences here.  It is on Soi13.

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

I've stayed there a couple of times now, both in a standard room and what you would call a junior suite.

The extra bucks for the suite isn't worth it in my opinion, it's identical to the smaller room except for a table and chairs, no view to speak of, I was looking into the condo next door..

Nice pool on the roof, the usual cable channels, personally like the location,

HOWEVER, as per my last post a few months? back I did have problems with cc fraud, as this was the only place I had used it on my trip I'd sugest you use cash.

Aside from this it's actually a nice place.

Not a bad location, but as late there seems to be some "problems" with the place...CC Scam and the rooms are really getting old....The Haven Hotel is right behind the AA and it's not a bad one to stay at....

rooms are really getting old....  ???

Hello,

I think you are making a mix between the "AA Hotel" (cross of beach-road and Soi 13) and the "AA Residence Hotel" (middle of Soi 13)

The AA Residence must be 2 years old and I would be surprised if the rooms were already getting old...  :o

I was there in September of 2002 and it was a good place. Nothing exceptionnal but good room.

What I prefer here is Location: just in the middle between Walking Street and Bear Bars of Soi 9-8-7...

Enjoy,

Oukiva

If you think the rooms in the AA Residence are getting old you haven't been to the Haven!! AA is fairly new about 3 years. No view now they built the condo right next door. Never had any CC problem there and the staff was good. Rooms comfortable for 700 baht not a bad deal as soi 13 is a great location. Try the Sandy Spring for a view and newer as well as the new Dynasty. Hope this helps. Cheers, B-Man!
