The problems in the past were due to a large number of good quality counterfeits that were in circulation, and that the old notes were considered easy to copy. The new notes have been specifically designed to avoid this, and are readily welcomed at most if not all exchanges and banks. :thumbup

If still in doubt, send me a few and I will test them!

When I was back in the U.S. in mid-October, the new $100 bills had just been introduced. I went to five different banks, none had any on hand on Oct. 24. I'll see if I have better luck this trip.

In Canada, as soon as a new bill is introduced the banks pull all the old ones and in a matter of months the old ones look peculiar. Hard to do I'm sure with a trillion $ worth in US notes circulating around the globe

I got some new ones in mid-October in California. Haven't tried to exchange any yet as cash is my backup money.
