kick-ass is an understatement describing those margarita's.

Yup, if you appreciate margaritas that taste great and have a full effect, try Tequila Reef. One or two of them will set you up nicely.

I can remember one afternoon in AC sitting in Tequila Reef and talking to the owner over some margaritas. I suddenly realized I was blasted. The taste was subtle and I hadn't noticed the drink was as potent as it was.

They did not give the above price of 495 baht, even when I pointed out that that was what was advertised.

Produced some flyer showing 535 baht, plus tax. We paid it without arguing, but I am not going back.

Even if the diference is small, I figure that an establishment that is being dishonest in one area is likely to be dishonest in other areas too, such as food preparation.

I went and was dissapointed... I couldn't find the parking that is shown on the web site. Drove up soi 8, down soi 7... Just wasn't there or at least it wasn't obvious. I was fortunate to park in the "red" zone where they were putting up all the booths for this weekends cluster fuck.

The meal was average at best. The meat was dry, the stuffing was dry... Most everything was NOT hot. The green bean salad looked OLD - was scared to even try it. The pumpkin pie had a VERY doughy crust - one small bite and that was enough. Won't be back.

On the plus side, the staff were attentive and friendly.

In the interest of fair play, I should post that Tequilareef just sent me a message, informing me that the 535 baht price we were charged was a "mistake", and with an included 200 baht coupon.

I doubt that I will use the coupon, but i thought I should let people know.

I'm wondering if I was overcharged also. buffet for 2 plus one cocktail each cost over 1500 baht.

Also, TR completely blew the Iced Tea Competition. When I asked for it the response I got was "no hab". When I asked to speak to the boss I was told that he was in the PI.
