Just An Update

The only problem is with True Move as they block the streaming outside of Thailand.

I have installed over 300 boxes and this is how i've found out what true do....

i don't have any problems installing boxes on TOT, 3BB and sometimes on SOPHON we call out the engineer to re configure the settings and puang sorts that out.

True move / vision will not work as they sell a streaming package and they block all other streaming... so if anyone is thinking of getting the IPTV then don't use True for your internet service.

Hi Lanzalad!

I bought a box of you a month ago,but couldn't use it in Pattaya as my hotel had a pre-War television without HDMA sockets and also a poor wifi connection so it wasn't viable to try it out.Thought I would leave it til I got back to Europe.

Anyway, just got home to UK and wired it up,but only getting a few basic channels, and plenty of others asking for money and subscriptions! I tried to access the forum you have on ************* for the support system you have set up but all I get is a message that the owner has pulled the plug until he decides what to do!

Have you another place to host your customer service site?

Really need a bit of guidance to find all the free sports channels!

Hope you can help me find the right buttons to press!

*Edited to remove details.*

Just a quick update.....I had a bit of free time tonight to dabble with the box and dig a bit deeper, and found loads of channels just below the surface!

So,alls well and the box is an absolute steal! If you are thinking about getting one,get one!

I'm sure there's loads I still have to discover, but tonight was a revelation.

Highly recommended and then some.

lanzalad,

Considering the willy-nilly and unpredictable behavior of the board admin on live, putting the support forum there is not a good idea.

Many members who happen to have crossed swords with him for one reason or another are banned from that board or won't be allowed to join for a multitude of reasons.

I know not everyone has FB, but it seems that would be a better place to put a support forum...or here if you want.

Or you could hedge your bets and at least have another support venue rather than putting your eggs in that one basket.

BTW, rather than my bringing my box to you to repair the XBMC configuration, would it be possible for you to create an XBMC backup file that you could send by email or post somewhere so it could be downloaded by those who get out of sync with your updates?

Is this at all similar to the Apple TV box?

KM

The minix neo X7 mini looks like the apple tv box but its a bit bigger but the minix neo X8-H is maybe twice the size in width and depth but around the same hight.

here's a shot on the X8-H

Sorry Lanzalad, I should have explained myself better - my fault!

I meant in regards to its functions, features and availability of channels. I have an Apple TV box but it doesn't appear to do all that your box does.

Thanks

The minix box is open to anything you want to do with it and i set the box up so it allows you to install 3rd party programs and apps.

the performance is cracking no waiting around for anything to open.

here's the spec and a video.

After the disappointment of not being able to run the box in my hotel last month as their television was prehistoric (maybe I could have bought a HDMI to phono set of leads?) I set about hunting for a portable HDMI monitor to be able to operate independently. I prowled TukCom but there was bugger all available, except a 24 inch monitor which is far from portable.

Amazon though threw up some options.....a Chinese company called Koolertron makes a few field monitors with screen sizes from 7 to 10 inches, with HDMI inputs, and battery/mains powered. I ordered one this week, and it arrived two days later. Brand is Lilliput...it's about the size of a paperback pocket novel or in-car Satnav screen....7 inch diagonal screen size....has integrated battery and mains charging options.

Screen definition is excellent....does the job. It weights way less than a kilo, and is eminently portable.

So thats another problem solved....I'm no longer reliant on hotel television...and can now have the box on and the televison too, should I want to multitask.Still need wifi connection and mains power for the Minix, but can now have an independent monitor.

Product code is Lilliput 668GL-70NP/H/Y.

A handy thing to have!!

Thats a good idea , i have an old tablet with good resolution and a HDMI socket so that would do the job nicely...... :thumbup

I have a laptop with HDMI as well, but I'm not sure it would work as HDMI input... :clueless

I've just cancelled my NFL Game Pass subscription in the (perhaps too optimistic) hope that I can watch NFL (American Football) games broadcast from local channels in the USA....saved me the cost of the unit itself.

MM, how did the NFL thing work out? I am thinking this is falling in "can't do without" if you solved the "real" football issue........

I found a stream that worked from Sky Sports in England for the game I wanted to watch, however the quality was nowhere near what I got with NFL Gamepass last year.

I'll keep trying.
