I was on Walking Street last week, had a good time.  Doorman wouldn't let me into Pinup at 7:55 so I went over to XS for a beer, when I came back at 8:30 I was lucky to get a table in the back.  The b

Sanctuary of Truth.  Admission is 500 baht.  Quite busy this afternoon.  They do try to get visitors to stay in groups (50 in our case).  I managed to get lost from the group and did my own thing taki

Living in Naklua 5 years, frequently take my bike from Dolphin on south. Not once have i seen the smallest delay before you hit Central.  Came out of Soi Post Office yesterday intending to get a BB. I was walking faster than the traffic. Got past the Avenue, gave up a got a MB taxi to weave us to the 6.    As you say, in time for high season.

Traffic was bad around Pratumnak yesterday. Bolt giving 15 minute plus wait times for cars but taking longer as traffic gridlocked. A couple of guys I know wanted to drive from Cosy Beach to the Irish Wolfhound on Soi 4 for Sunday lunch but turned around and ate locally. The road down to the yacht club, Three Mermsids, Sky Gallery etc was  gridlocked most of the afternoon.

Probably a combination of things. A long weekend with people down from Bangkok, the cumulative effect of ongoing roadworks in the city and the aftermath of heavy overnight rain.

Did they use the 2 years with Covid too or is it just only fun when there is plenty of tourists to delay?

That first one sets off my ladyboy alert.  Could be wrong.   The second one sets off my pee pee.  I get a stirring in my loins.  ?

The Hideaway is truly having to hide these days. The screen obviously to keep the construction dust in the area off the customers, and their eggs and bacy! The people of City Hall should really pay compensation for businesses suffering in these construction areas. And this after the 2 years of Covid! It is not like they get on with the work, taking forever. I passed Cheap Charlie's earlier, very full of Sunday morning fry-up partakers... but have they got a few who find sitting inside the screened darkness of The Hideaway not to their liking.

What a business having a business in Patts.

@forcebwithuI was strolling down 2nd Rd yesterday, ready to take on the climbing challenge of The Klang pavement, when my way was obstructed (like they do here) by a construction team. It looked like they were putting the final touches to a car showroom and service place.... heaven knows why I didn't pop of a picture of my own. It is a Isuzu place I think, opposite Central Festival, a bit further North. Later I was thinking what a stupid place for such a business... they are usually positioned on main Roads, just slightly out of town centers.  Hardly accessible, or a good area for a test drive!

I'm sure there has been an Isuzu showroom around there for years. I certainly recall seeing one there in the past.

A few pics of the dreaded Soi 15 between Buakhao and 2nd Rd... via the Avenue.

Work appears to have been suspended. There is access but it is a bit tight, one direction at a time for cars and pickups, and it will not do your tyres any favours.

This last pic is probably only known to the Expats. There used to be a (Tesco)Lotus supermarket behind Numchai on Sukhumvit... opposite a Fascino there....well not no more. Don't know if it has gone forever.... a nuisance, as I often stopped off there as it is on my way into town from home. Heard a rumour Lotus are not doing so well since they shed the Tesco link.

The soi 15 is walkable ok but I wouldn't want to try it when it's been raining,it's the bit from the hideaway to just before the avenue that's messy.
