Duty free /Duty paid allowance

Hi can you bring in more than the duty free allowance if you buy duty paid in the uk and have it in your checked in luggage i have tried google and the Thai customs page  http://www.customs.go.th/list_strc_simple_neted.php?ini_content=individual_160503_03_160905_01&lang=en&left_menu=menu_individual_submenu_01_160421_01#individual_F01_160426_04                      but cant find a straight answer  as with Christmas coming uk in the uk there is great deals to be had in the supermarkets in the uk   p.si am only talking about bringing 3/4 bottles of spirits T I A  Ian

It is Thai duty they want not UK duty! And they are quite draconian if they catch you smuggling, a fine for each bottle, you can offer to 'leave it behind' but it isn't the soppy UK customs. 

How much would you be saving do you expect?

You can buy on arrival in Bangkok although subject to the same limits. Try checking out prices in Thailand, except for premium stuff and wine it might compare.
