There's plenty of Boeing 787 Nightmareliners flying around with taped-up wings - the tape is used to cover cracks in the wing surface coating due to wing flex....

I think that is going take a little more than duck tape!

IIRC, it is called, "speed tape." Very expensive. Made of a metal alloy. Weights a ton, as compared to a same sized roll of duct tape.

You'd be surprised how much tape gets used by engineers to make temporary repairs to stuff... :whistling:
