  1. Yeah, I noticed that. However, I can't imagine leaving my macbook pro sitting on the bathroom sink while maids work around it cleaning the bathroom.
  2. Staying at the Pattaya Bay Resort in a standard room right now. Pros: - Extremely affordable, monthly rate is 19500 baht = about 630 baht a night - Clean rooms, and new. - Location is great, very close to 2 major malls. - Endless hot water, as the water heaters are electric and instantaneous. - AC is very cold and has a programmable remote control. - Nice big fridge for storing drinks and food. - Full gym on floor 7. Cons: - Water pressure for shower is terrible. - Only one elevator for an 8 story hotel with many rooms, takes forever to get the elevator at times. - WiFi
  3. One more question for all of you. I read in another forum that Pattaya Bay Resort is in a somewhat dangerous area at night. Would it be a good idea to always use the provided shuttle? Or, is the area cleaned up a bit since they built a new shopping center nearby?
  4. Yeah, it makes sense for them to fill the room earlier than expected while it's already paid for. Thanks for the advice.
  5. Pattaya Bay Resort has a monthly rate of 19,500 baht. I have a 30 day vacation coming up and I'm planning a 20 day stay in Pattaya. Does anyone know if I could reserve it for a month, then leave early and pay a fee? I'm thinking this way might save a bit since a Standard Room is 1300 baht per night. 1 month = 19,500 1 month 1300 per night = 39,000 20 days at 1300 per night = 26,000 As you can see, almost 6500 could be saved if you reserved a month, then left 10 days early. Just wondering if they have a fee for such a situation. Also, it'd be nice to have it reserved for a
  6. Looks very nice! Has anyone tried it yet?
  7. Wow, that one looks nice. But it's a bit out of the way, a "10 minute ride to Pattaya City"
  8. http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/pattaya/...bay-resort.html Good reviews on this site for the Pattaya Bay Resort.
  9. That place looks excellent, and very close to walking street! Have you stayed there? If so, what was the overall impression? Are the rates firm? Thank you
  10. Thanks for all the info guys, this board is amazing!
  11. Was hoping some brothers could tell me which hotels are newer, say no more than 2 years old. Trying to stay in the 800-1500 baht range.
