Cool thanks, just wasen't too sure. For example where I live I would be lucky to see even one in the whole town. I had bad visions of wondering around Pattaya trying to find one, but since they are everywhere then no problem at all. Well I leave for Thailand tomorrow, I didn't sleep last night, most likely I won't sleep again tonight I am so excited. Well I'll be in Pattaya on the Tenth, My first port of call will be FLB, but for the next 9 1/2 days I have no plans -
Ok, I am 2 days out from traveling to Thailand. I'll be in Bangkok for a couple of days but will be in Pattaya for 10 days on Friday (10th Nov). While I have found a local Internet Cafe in Bangkok near my hotel, I don't know where they are in Pattaya. Mainly need to check email (and maybe even send photos to friends and family) I am staying at Sawasdee Sea View (Soi 10), while a Internet Cafe is not important the first day, I will need to use it during my stay there. But after 4 days in Thailand I will need to do Laundry sooner or later. So basicly after a close by Internet Cafe,

Thank you for all the replies. Just to make sure I got both round and thin adapters as there was a special on at my local Disk Smith store. I only need them for my Phone charger, batt charger (for my cameras) plus my 20gb mp3 player (which I am mainly using to store my photos from my cameras). All my chargers can handle 110-240v so hopefully I am covered.

I went shopping for things for my trip (just over a week away) I need a power plug adapter for my Batt. charger as well as my phone charger. So I went to a travel shop that sells adapters, asking one for Thailand. The shop staff showed me two, one with two round pins ( o o ) while the other had two thing pins ( | | ) I asked her which one I will need and she said they use both and I should buy both. This smells like a rip off So I'll ask here before buying. Which one would I most likely need for Pattaya (as well as Bangkok)?

Taxi to Pattaya from Sukhumvit Road (BKK)
Nakaleen replied to Nakaleen's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Thanks for all the great replies, it has given me 3-4 ways to Pattaya. I haven't replies untill now as I was bed ridden with the flu (I rather be sick now then two weeks later when I leave for Thailand hehehe) I now have found Toom's contact details. I am 50/50 on using Toom or using the Bus option, not becouse I am a cheap charlie but just for experience of it (first trip) Next weekend I'll be doing my final planning and will deside then. Again thanks. -
I am complete newbie. it is not untill the 3 week mark before my first trip I am now only worring about getting transport to Pattaya from my hotel in BKK. Could my hotel (Manhattan in BKK or Sawasdee Sea View in Pattaya) arrange something? Just get a Metered taxi or try this Toom I keep hearing about (I have no contact details yet as I am headin to bed now, will search tomorrow) dose he pick up from hotels instead of the airport?

I'll be traveling to Thailand at the start of Nov. Never been overseas before (this thread is useful) I have already photocopied my passport, driver license, Insurance, Itinerary. One copy to be left at home (with family) and one with me. If I understand right I don't get a visa until I arrive. I'll be in Bangkok for 3 days before heading down to Pattaya. Where can I get a photocopy of the visa made? Hope there is a place I can do it at the airport, as I have NO idea about the area around where I am staying until I get there. I'm staying at Manhattan (13 Sukhumvit Road, Soi 15, still tryin

I love thunderstorms, call me crazy but I would love it on my trip. Not every day, but maybe once now and again on my trip (nov 7-Nov 23 in Thailand, Nov 10-20 in Pattaya). I seem to speep better when I can hear a thunderstorm or shower. Not that I am planning much sleep in my room on my trip

I am staying in Manhattan in Bangkok 3 days and then to Sawasdee Sea View in Pattayafor 10 (another 3 back in Bangkok before leaving). hehehe I cant belive a trip in a limo could be so cheap?!? Yes, I have read about the hassle to get a bus or a Taxi (my hotel reservation printouts has the hotel's name in Thai, I can't tell if it only has the name or the address too, I can't read it hehehe) luggage wise I will only have one small-medium sized suitcase I see the word FLB popping up a lot around here, it looks like a great place. The videos on their video page alone has my mout -
I can't belive I am doing this... My first ever holiday (a real holiday without visiting family), first ever overseas holiday and first time to Thailand/Pattaya. At the moment I have booked the flights and hotels. Staying in Bangkok for 3 nights before traveling down to Pattaya, arriving in Nov 10th. But thats all I have planned for at the moment, as I have NO idea what the nightlife will be like. Sure I have read the forums, but trying to plan what I am going to do is almost impossible. But at the moment I am wondering about a couple of things. I am working out what the best way t
