Thanks, this is very helpful. A 2 bedroom would be nice, but I think for a rental I would probably be looking for something at about 20k a month. So maybe have to settle for a studio or 1 bed to begin with. I've read on here that it is recommended to rent for a while before buying. Would you guys agree?

Hey Guys, Can anyone recommend a reputable Estate/Rental Agency in Pattaya?. I am thinking about renting or buying a Condo, probably a 2 bedroom. Also what areas of Pattaya would you suggest? I think Jomtien is to far to travel to the main action. I will be visiting Pattaya in April and hope to have a look at what is available.

Anyone got any experience of the Eastiny Residence on Beach Road Soi 10? I am considering staying there. I have previously stayed at the Eastiny on Soi 7 and liked it. But I'm a bit hesitant to stay there again this time, because I like to take girls from the bars on soi 7 & 8 and it would get a bit akward when they can see you walking past every night with a different girl. It wasn't really a problem last time, because I only stayed for 2 weeks, but this next time I will be coming for 6 weeks!! The other thing is I can't really remember seeing much down soi 10? what else is on

Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good hotel in Chaing Mai. Me and a friend are thinking about going there for 4 or 5 nights in November before we go to Pattaya. We would be looking for a hotel close to the action of bars/nightclubs, and must be girl-friendly, and have a swimming pool and internet access if possible. Price range up to 2000b. Thanks.

Having read various webpages regarding visas for Thailand, I was under the impression that days spent in Thailand on a proper visa i.e the 60-day tourist visa or the 'O' non-immigrant visa did not count towards the 90 days in 180 rule. It only really affects people going in and out of the country using the 30-day entry visa. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
