Andy, I couldn't get them to go any lower than 1690 at the front desk from now until Feb 15th. Even atsiam has the cheapest rate at Evergreen being 1640 right now. Were you able to get the 1400 at some other site? Thanks!

It has it's own check in area and staff. It even has it's own entrance (for cars too) on Soi15 which gives you access to the Avenue shopping mall in about 2 minutes walking or you can walk thru to the Soi Diana entrance as well. I think a LOT of people not staying at Areca are going to be walking thru now to get to the mall very quickly from Soi Diana.

I had a chance to walk thru it a few days ago and it is quite nice. All of the stone work is really nice and it has a nice bar and restaurant right in the lobby. The main lobby itself isn't air conditioned like the other Areca hotels, but the elevator area and walkways to the rooms are which is good. I viewed the Super Deluxe room which is going for 1990 right now (they have the pricing for this new hotel on the main Areca web site now) and it is very well done but very small. There is no walk in shower, but it has a large tub with a curtain around it and a showerhead in the wall.

I was told the new hotel is opening January 15th.. I just booked there for early Feb, starting rates for rooms are 1990.
