  1. I think some of the reasons for the high costs has something to due with expensive fuel, tax the airline has to pay to the airport, landing and takeoff costs and other costs countries charge. I can fly to Chicago from Japan for almost the same price it costs me to fly from Japan to BKK. If I chose Egypt Air from JP to BKK, the cost is between $350 and $400. It's not that bad of a flight, but I like to earn miles using Star Alliance which is under United Airlines. I'm planning a trip in April to Pattaya after the Songkran. So far, prices are quoted as UA: $570, Thai: $700, NW: $560, In
  2. The cheapest flight that I came across from Pusan to BKK was $800. You have to fly Korean Air to Incheon and then Cathey Pacific to BKK. This is a long route because you have to stop in Hong Kong first. Korea Air and Delta have a $700 flight from Incheon direct to BKK. Judging by your handle, couldn't you catch a military flight to Osan and then take a bus to Seoul for the direct flight to BKK or catch a hop to Sigapore? It's a little cheaper for me here in Japan, but still almost the same cost as coming from the states to BKK($600) on United. Of course Egypt air is the cheapest($390).
  3. Does anyone know the email(if one) to this hotel. I've been having a hard time getting a couple rooms reserved for the middle of November(good budget hotels). My usual hotel is fully booked and three others I e-mailed about a week ago have not responded yet. Any suggestions?
  4. Are these hotels worth staying at? The reviews look good and also the price. I prefer staying at the Roof Garden Inn but my friend wants to stay at a place with a pool for around the same price as the Roof with similar room qualities. Also, does anyone know the status on the pool at the Penthouse Hotel?
  5. I couldn't agree more. Money might be the main reason why some of the guys would want to read their e-mails or maybe it's just curiosity.
  6. The degree is only for sponsorship. Any type of degree is fine for conversational English schools. Japan is still in demand for English teachers. The pay is good, but it is a very expensive country to live in.
  7. I thought bank account numbers for passwords were a big hit with the girls. I personally could care less how many guys they are talking with. Well, I guess if you are sending money you probably want to know if shes being honest or not.
  8. Boy, everybody is really concerned about the Navy pulling in. I agree with Cris. It is funny to see a young kid first time away from home, mouth wide open, staring at the dancers in go go bars. They become corrupted for life! As long as you don't bother them, they shouldn't bother you and most likely they will buy you a few rounds. Take into consideration that they either have been out at sea or on their way out to sea for a long period of time, so why the rest of us are partying it up, those Navy guy's are gearing up for a long journey to the Middle East area. I'm sure that there wont
  9. Because of the current situation, the Navy might skip Pattaya. Nobody knows for sure though. They have been going to Phukett lately. I still think they'll show up in Pattaya sometime this year. Good buisness for Pattaya, not fun for the tourists.
