Can you make International calss with the AIS setup? BigDog 8)

The last time I tried my Nokia phone was Nov. 2001. So things may have changed since then. I'll be back in Jan. 2003, so hopefully, with a new SIM, my phone will work in Thailand and this time I'll be able to make International calls. BigDog

Thanks for the good advice. I have a couple of questions: #1 - I have two Nokia Phones purchased in the Philippines. I get a Network in Thailand, but they didn't work with the SIM I purchased. My guess is the phones are locked. Was told I could get them unlocked in Bangkok at the airport. Tried to do this but they wouldn't help me. Tried in Pattaya, no luck. A few things to consider when buying a Cell Phone in Thailand. To begin with the Nokia phones are more expensive than most models. But you should be able to use the phone in other countries provided you buy a SIM. In Thailand the phone I bought does not dail outside Thailand. You need to purchase a calling card for this and have to deal with the hassle of inputting all the numbers from the calling card each time you want to make a phone call. I wanted to make reservations at the Windy Inn for 10 rooms next January 23 - 28. I searched Internet and haven't been able to find any way of making the reservations online. I called the Windy Inn and got some guy who only spoke Thai and could not understand me. I also wanted to arrange a Pool Party at the Windy Inn on Jan 25. Anyone know a POC or how I can go about doing this? My first choice was the Residence Inn, but they only had 3 rooms available. A friend of mine had a Pool Party at the Windy Inn a few years ago and it worked out great. Thanks for any advice.
