    please do us all a favor and don't take a raincheck just simply stop this annoying nonsense you started here for whatever reason and STFU. The pizza in Brooklyn Diner is one of the best available in Pattaya and definitely the very best at these prices. I've been eating there regularly in the last few weeks after trying several establishments in the area. I was a firm believer that Pizza & Pasta has the best anchovy/capers pizza in town but was wrong. Brooklyn wins hands down. Rare addition is that you have herbs and virgin olive oil to add if that what you fancy -a nice touch that hardly anyone does in Pattaya, yet is so simple and satisfying. I also tried many of their dishes and never an issue, in fact the shrimp linguine was out of this world . The staff is friendly and try to please the customers - a rare thing in Pattaya TBH. Have absolutely no clue what is your problem with the place.

     

     

    Such a pity that you cant give an opinion without being jumped on.

     

    My personal experience was not good, and I was not happy with the response from the owner.

     

    I shared my opinion like so many other board members do here but for some reason hit a bad nerve with some board members

     

    I apologise if I offended anyone, it was just my opinion. Nothing more and nothing less.

     

    For every ones info, I ran a go-go, in Pattaya for 2 years and I am very aware of how hard it is to find good workers, the hardships in training them and the impossible to keep them long time. I find it poor for an owner to blame the staff or to blame Thailand, in all honesty all he had to say was sorry, please come in and have another one on the house and see if we have improved or fixed the problem. To just say come in and purchase another pizza and take my word that it will be ok,. even after saying he cant guarantee his staff will make it correct, is not good enough for me and I would not go back.

     

    You may like what I said, or maybe not but it is just my opinion so please don't dump on me as it truly is not warranted.

  2. I have just returned from 9 days in Pattaya and I also highly recommend this place. They also have an extensive breakfast menu which was great value for money.

     

    One thing I found on their menu which I have not found else where is my beloved FLAT WHITE, the best coffee I have had to date in Thailand.

  3. Sorry to hear about your disappointment.

     

    Rest assured I will follow up the issue with our Manager and Chef upon my return.

    We have recently changed the salami and Peperoni to a different, in my view and the view of others, more tasty brand, which is also cut thinner. But I made it clear that the thinness is to be compensated with more slices.

     

    Hope you give it another try, we really aim to please our customers!

     

     

    Why would I try again, the problem will not be fixed up as you stated it will be rectified upon your return???

    Is that next week, next month or next year?

  4. After glowing reviews of this place, I stopped in for a bite just a few hours ago. The décor was nice, staff helpful.

    I ordered a peperoni pizza to try after glowing reports of how good their Pizza's are but to be honest it was a big fail. 7 pieces of peperoni on top meant that the main ingredient did not even cover 30% and was sliced so thinly, well I believe you would see daylight through it if you held it up to the light.

    My rating out of 10.......3

     

    I had great expectations but was totally let down and would NOT recommend this place sadly.

     

    Maybe being an Aussie I am not used to American Style pizza but sadly I have to admit the Pizza Hut peperoni I had in Australia was better than here and Pizza Hut rank as one of the worst pizza's in Australia.

     

    I am going to the Wok and Rock later and hope they are as good as reported

    I enjoyed my time last year at the Orphanage and will be arriving on the 19th Dec.

     

    Last year we did not get to see many young kids due to the funeral of one of the sisters, but hopefully this year it will be ok.

     

    I would like to join you again this year and will be happy to contribute 15,000 baht this year.

Yep I agree with this too......I am a very agreeable person as a multitude of drunken farangs confirmed last night!!.......I am on the middle road on this one especially saying earlier that there was no manager on duty to help her staff...but bloody hell to go back a second time and NOT tell them of your previous bad experience and then order the same thing...without complaining about the result.....I don't know...I really really don't know what this is about.

     

    You guys are amazing......................

     

    I went back with my friends because you all jumped on me and said I was unfair with my report, that sometimes places have a bad day and I should not be so harsh. I went back also because Pete said he would address the issues I had.

     

    Why in hell would I tell a manager of the problems I had before, and then order, when I just wanted to see if it had improved.

     

    I think any BM would have seconds thoughts about posting anything good or bad on this board because of the wankers on here to cant seem to get it through their thick skulls I am just sharing MY experience and MY opinion with the board.

     

    Ligfhten up, buy a beer, get laid or whatever you need to chill out.

  7. Pretty much the same experience I have had every time I went there. Peter is one of the best owners/mangers I've come across in Pattaya who always listens to his customers and treats them and their concerns with respect. If there is a problem (and as I said, I haven't experienced any yet) then I'm sure Pete will address it.

     

    Sad to say nothing has been addressed, no personal Pm to me, nothing at all.

     

    Thats ok, as I said I post my personal experience, just wanted to let others know how bad it was there.

     

    On a side note, had brekkie there this morning, ordered the same meal, still served with potatoe wedges, not fries as stated, still the hard dried out beef that had been cut days before y the looks of it. Has Pete fixed it..........................................................NO

     

    He may be the best bloke on the planet, and I am not here to knock him but maybe he should try some of the food that he thinks is so wonderful because its not.

  8. I've been a regular eater at the PBG whenever I'm in Thaialnd and I've never had a problem. Me thinks maybe you have to consider that you are a visitor and have to order as a visiter and not like you do in your own country. Give the girls a break and cut some slack. I noticed the Iced Tea bit also. I always order Iced Tea with out sugar. It's been perfect every time. Pete is an upstanding guy and takes care of his customers. Your in Thailand not England or America. Things are different somewhat. The Iced Tea is made with a tea bag in a cup and the lady pours hot water oin and then after a few minutes she pours it in a glass with Ice added. I've sat and watched her do it for years. Good to the last drop.

    I lived in Pattaya for 2 years, ran a business their, I know Thai standards, but this food was not average, not below avarage but just plain CRAP.

     

    I am more than happy to go sit there with you and shout you the meal I ate.

     

    I am not here to give Pete a hard time but to let him know there is a REAL problem there, and needs to be looked at.

     

    You are more than welcome to give YOUR opinion about what you think of the food but dont tell me MY opinion is wrong or you even know me or what my standards are.

  9. Gimmble, my apologies that our service was not up to scratch.

     

    We have a simple and straight forward rule at the Beer Garden and that is . . . . if you are not happy with any aspect of our service we will give you a full refund, no questions asked. This is fully explained in the "Guarantee" which is included in every menu. To get the refund you MUST ask to speak with the Duty Manager. One is always on duty.

     

    The Beer Garden is open 18 hours a day and serves well over 2,000 meals every day. That's a lot of hours and a lot of meals. It is not possible for me to personally be there checking everything all the time. However when a refund is requested I will know about it and do investigate the cause.

     

    We have over 20 chefs most of whom have been with us for several years or more. The day time head chef has been with us since we opened 6 years ago. No excuses, but at this time of year we do get very busy and sometimes things go wrong. If they do please allow us to fix it or refund your money.

     

    I will be investigating your specific complaints.

    I did everything correct and NO, it was not busy with less than half a dozen customers. The menu might say what to do in these circumstances but at the end of the meal, there is no menu, I have already told the waitress the food was not edible and I was not happy nand to inform the manager. She was also a long time waitress and knows the correct ways.

     

    I REALLY believe you have a problem there, its not isolated and you really need to fix it before bigger damage has set in. I dont give a shit about 110 baht, to be honest I am posting this to get YOUR attention and for you to put things right in your business.

    I wouldn't expect the waitress to do anything about it, its not the thai way to make problems or to criticise the work of other staff. They just hope you will go away and stop bothering them.

     

    I believe Pete has a manager on duty at all times as he cannot be there 24/7. You shouldn't need to if the place is run right and the staff will make the right decisions, but it would have paid to ask to speak to the manager directly.

     

     

     

    I did say to the waitress to inform the manager I was not happy!!!!

     

    I did everything correct but I am ot going to make a scene in the place, I even informed the waitress at the very end I would be informing the owner Pete about the low standards.

     

    Just the usuall som na na smirk.

  11. I had a burger in Simons Fish and Chips in Jomtien last and it was a jaw dropper, the best burger I have ever had in Thailand and one of the best ever ever.

     

    It was huge, fresh and the meat was most but well cooked.

     

    My friend had the fish and chips, said it was very good too
