MAN - AMS is KLM AMS - BKK is China
-
I can get an earlier MAN AMS flight for the same price which gives us a longer sit down in AMS. Its the first flight out of MAN so little chance of a delay.
-
Looking to come back over with the family for new year. We usually travel to LHR for the direct EVA flight. But for three of us it nearly £2650. I have found MAN - AMS - BKK its good value and being from the North it means less travelling. Couple of questions for those who have used 1) Whats the plane / journey like for the AMS BKK leg 2 ) I have 1 hr 40 min to transfer at AMS for the BKK flight. Presume this will be leaving ng enough ? Thanks All

Does the kitchen have facilities to cook. Pans, toaster etc as my daughter is quite fussy and likes pancakes in the morning

Travelling in two weeks. The pound is currently getting stronger so if it looks like the tories are going to work their " magic" and collapse the pound buy it before I travel.
-
Its getting closer to the magic 60 which it was when I first visited. Think I have enough left over from my last visit to pay for my cab. Will change the rest in the resort.
-
What rate Bht against the £ are available in the resort. Creeping up again and I can get 51.5 tempted to change all my money here while the good rate exists

Yep already booked thru the site amd got the deal

Guys I really appreciate your responses to my Q's.

Daughter is 11 and this will be her 4th visit so no issues with baht buses etc. Responding to the comments around children and Pattaya we go here or Miami every winter and we all enjoy Pattaya a lot more the people are more friendly and more to do and much better value . we just dont like the flight. I personally could not think of anything worse then staying in a resort complex in the North of the city. For those there now what are the prices like in the RG?. We usualy stay in the areca and the food and bar prices are very good just a shame there is building work

Staying here in the new year with the family. First time, usually stay in Areca but do not want to chance it with the building work and I got a really good deal through this site. Couple of Q's as have driven past it loads of times going to Jomtien but I am unfamiliar with the area. 1 ) Will do a large grocery shop when we get here, is the Big C and Tesco Sukhumvit the best option. ? 2 ) Is there anywhere nearby to have breakfast, do not really want to go into town and Hotel breakfasts are not usually the best value 3 ) Are there any decent bars (of any kind) nearby, we will go

Mercure or Other Family Friendly Hotels
family guy replied to family guy's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
TTK Thanks for the Tip. We like suites and the location is great as my daughter likes to go to Pattaya park so right in the middle is fine we have probably driven past it dozens of times going there. Contacted hotel and they are not over the top with the extra bed either. Whats best arrangements for breakfast eat at hotel or jump baht bus into the centre. ? -
Having to consider another alternative due to building work at the Areca for Feb 14. I like the Areca because Location Decent size rooms for a family of 3 Nice Pools Beer and food prices at pool Less than 2500 bht per night Looking at Mercure any ideas on whether the Mercure ticks the above boxes. Or any other ideas dont reallt want to go any further north then Tops Thanks, Martin

Any idea when the works are due to end. Just booked our flights got Feb 14. We always stay at Areca but will have to consider alternatives if this is still ongoing. The only saving grace is that this development will ensure all sides of the Areca which were not developed when the hotel first opened will see no more available land and no more hassle
