There is a bue direct from the airport , I think It's 3 times a day, 9.00, 12.00, and 17.00, check at the airport before you catch a bus to the bus station. The last time I cought the direct bus from the airport it was 200 Baht.

I've seen them, but can't think were!! About wearing helmets, I read some were that a lot of fatal motor cycle accidents that happen below 15 mph are caused by the helmet (eg) the helmet's are that hard that they bounce back up off the ground up to 10 times faster than they impacted (a bit like a golf ball ) thus causing brain damage. And secondly the protruding chin protector can assist in the breaking of the neck. At these low speeds without a helmet you could if you were lucky sustain concussion or be rendered unconscious. So it could be said that the cheap plastic helmets you get when you hire your bike would be better in a slow speed tumble than one with a Britsh standard, or european standard. What do you think ?.

Plenty of expats around Soi Post Office & Soi Yamoto, The Ritz on Soi Yamoto is cheap long term. Personaly I prefare Soi 12 or Soi 13.

There's construction going on on soi 13 but none on 12, I was there in March and always manage to get a good nights sleep in the BR.

The BR Inn on Soi 12, 500 Baht a night with air con.
