  1. I forgot about this until the last minute... I have a laptop that runs on anywhere from 120-240 volts and 50-60hz, standard USA 2-prong plug. I also have a mobile phone charger that runs on anywhere from 120-240 volts and 50-60hz, standard USA 2-prong plug. I'd like to plug both in at my room at Residence Garden. My understanding is that Thailand generally uses the same 2-prong setup as the U.S.... however thailand runs on 220 volts whereas the U.S. is 120 volts. So, my guess is that I can use both the items described above with no adapter or volt converter. anyone with ex

I will be there starting October 22 to train muay thai for two weeks, and will be staying at the camp itself... no partying from 10/22 through 11/3... However, starting November 4 I have two weeks free to party... 11/4 - 11/16. this is also when I'll be staying at RG. Again, thanks for the tips... maybe we'll run into each other. - MCC
  3. All - My first trip to Thailand and Pattaya... I had reserved a room at the Dynasty Inn on soi 13. They wanted a credit card#, but I am cautious and declined. I went over my other options and have settled on Residence Garden. FLB rate of 1350bht sounds good... However, there are so many conflicting reports of the RG's distance from the "action"! Although I don't like humidity (who does?) I am young and very fit and would have no problems making the trek by foot IF it is reasonable (15 minutes or so)...
