My flight is with Emirates, Manchester - Dubai - Bangkok on (guess when?) 17 March! I rang Emirates today and asked them what the situation is and what about the flight if/when war starts. The response was that the flightpath was hundreds of miles from any likely action and there would be no problem with the flight. I must say I still have some doubts, though they did say that flights continued during the last Gulf War. I have 2 worries - one that I could lose my £474 paid for the flight if it's cancelled, and two - that there might be flights back home if it's not! Patrick
