I'd second the vote on Residence Garden. It is excellent value, and suits my preference to be rather close to the action yet removed enough for a quiet, mellow ambiance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff is inordinately helpful. the main pool and deck are really nice, and the restaurant is OK - though I will admit to frequenting only for breakfast and a few lunches. It's a short [5 minutes, at most] ride to the action area via countless "buses", but I like the walk to/from Walking Street, et al [maybe 15 minutes]. Booking thru FLB gets a nice rate. And, the previous poster was
