Ideally we'll be looking for a house with a garden. Our monthly budget is moderate at around 30 - 40k per month. We are keen golfers so are looking forward to playing on the many courses in the region. We visit Bangkok quite regularly so it would be ideal to have easy access to the expressway, so we are particularly interested in residential neighbourhoods in outlying areas. We have looked at some agents websites & will certainly make contact with a few of them - but its always nice to get the opinion & advice from 'locals'. Many thanks for your feedback so far.

We're a retired British couple who have spent the last 4 years on both Phuket & Koh Samui. We're now considering a stint in the Pattaya region while we explore the eastern seaboard. We are planning a trip in the new year to get our bearings as we are not very familiar with the area. Any advice/opinions about which areas would be suitable for us to look for a house to rent long term would be much appreciated. We like a quiet life away from the hustle & bustle, but within reasonably easy reach of shopping & amenities. Thankyou in advance for any tips.
