  1. Hi, Looking at the Pinewood website, and I noticed that there is a choice of either single or double occupancy rates. Also on the website it mentions that additional people staying in the room will be charged an extra 200B. So am I right in thinking that if you pay single occupancy, you will be charged for bringing any guests back?
  2. Hi, I've been staying in Bangkok for the past few months, and would like a few weeks in Pattaya. I'm not out every night as I'm working via the internet. My connection here is quite stable and fast, but it slows down a bit in the evening. So...can anyone please point me in the right direction to a hotel that offers a reliable net connection, for between 1,500 - 2,000 per month. I'd also be interested in any apartments that offer the same, in case I decide to spend more time in Pattaya rather than Bangkok, the next time I come. From reading previous threads it seems the Pinewood Res
  3. Thanks for the review. How much extra was the cyberpoint internet access? Was it painfully slow, or just a little? And did you have any sport or movie channels on your TV? Cheers.
  4. I've found mostly good reviews about the Diamond City Apartments, apart from one site that slated it and said it was full of cockroaches!!! I can't find much about the LK Pavillion however. I'm mainly looking for long term places that have a pool and wi-fi, and these are the places I've come up with so far. Has anyone here stayed at either. LK is 20,000thb and the Diamond City is 9,000. Cheers.
  5. Thanks for that, think I'll look elsewhere, as it does seem a bit too remote for me. Cheers.
  6. Hi, I'd be interested to know if anyone has stayed here: http://www.viewtalayplace.com/ It looks quite nice, I'm just not sure about the location. Thanks.
  7. I'm not sure when I'll be coming over, but I do plan to stay for a good few months at least. Can anyone suggest any websites that show what places are available to rent and how much they cost, including water and electricity etc. Size is not too important, but I'd prefer aircon and a very stable, fairly quick ADSL line. Hopefully the place would have a fridge, and some kind of room safe would be ideal. A community swimming pool would also be great. I'd prefer to be within walking distance of the main places in Pattaya, such as Walking Street and Bahtbus routes. Nothing too remote,
  8. I've seen a few photos of Thais where they make their thumb and finger into a kind of 'V' shape and place it underneath their chin. I was just wondering where this pose comes from and whether it means anything?
  9. Hi, Just wondering if there were any sports shops in Pattaya that sold Nike trainers and t-shirts etc. Found some great bargains elsewhere in Thailand, so I'm hoping to pick some things up in Pattaya this time. Thanks.
  10. Thanks for the replies Final, final query. I fancy the Ruen Thai (Paradise) rooms as they look like a nice place to relax. The website says you have a private balcony facing the pool. Can I walk into the pool from the balcony, or do I have to go a long way round. Also, do these rooms have a TV and safe in them. Got a good deal from contacting Care as suggested, cheers for that. Thanks again
  11. Hi, I've decided on the Sabai Resort for this trip, and I might try the Paradise rooms. They're a bit pricey on the hotel website, so I was wondering if there were any good online places I might be able to get a better deal from? Anyone here stayed in the Resort. From the pictures it seems like a nice place to chill out in. Any other info on the Resort would be welcome. Thanks.
