I`ll have a pint there the next time I am in the area. Then walk from the door to soi buakow and count the meterage. Think well find it is in excess of 100 yards. No its not a long way for us younger guys,but some of the older guys like to be dropped at the door.

30 meters ? Well lets say its 15 meters across the road to the cock and bull, now you go from there to make the extra 15 meters to soi buakow.

Emil,to be fair I can not think of a position in Pattaya between 3rd road and beach rd (east to west) and dolphin roundabout and south pattaya road (north to south ) that is further from a baht bus route than the bar with rooms we are talking about. This is mainly due to the great coverage of the baht bus system,and although not a long walk some people may not feel like walking that distance.

Cheers DUSA, I tend to try to stick to thai food whilst there apart from a few of the chicken kebabs they sell at the top of soi 3. Have you tried the thai food there ?

Chris,if it has closed down Bert did not mention it a couple of days ago,by the way great trip report. grs90,that is great info thank you very much. Does it have a regular drinking crowd in the day time? I spend many a afternoon/evening in Jack Tar bar and the Queen Vic but would not mind a change if there were a few regulars in the bar of Tropical Berts.

Anyone been there lately ? Any views or advice on the place appeciated since I am thinking of staying there in September. Cheers.
