bars closing

On the 6th of april in CHAKRI day. Are the bars closed for this event? also May 2 is the make-up day for national labor day. Are they closed for this event? thanks doorman

Chakri day and labour day (may 1st) are not important public holidays as king's or queen's birthday, election days and religious days, so probably the bars will be open - you don't really know and there may come a message from the police to close but I doubt it. A substitute day is just a compensation for the public holiday day is on a saturday or sunday so no reason for closed bars on may 2nd.
