want to learn some thai phrases ?

click on the above link and explore. its pretty good and alot of phrases you can play and listen to and practice so as to get the tone right

do as i do and write them down as they are pronounced in your own language and take them with you.

thais are very impressed at the fact that you are taking time to try and learn their language and will show you alot more respect

im 43 now and about to take my second trip to pattaya but i intend to retire here in 8 yrs and find the above site invalable

http://www.learningthai.com/ is the best site I found when I searched for an online help resource to learn Thai. I was very anxious to learn when I got back home so I've using that site for a couple of weeks. It's very helpful. I'll check out this one too. I reckon to get a good basic grasp of the language isn't too difficult. As for understanding the Thai's, well that's a bit tougher.

I've found this on-line dictionary helpful - if you can type in Thai, you can also enter Thai words and get the English meaning. -
