Number of Posts stuck

It seems I've become stuck at 80 posts, no matter how much (or little) I post.

 

Before I publish this post I have a grand total of 80 posts and I bet that I will still have a grand total of 80 posts after I have posted this one...

Not that it matter all that much, but...

Ok, now it would seem that my "post-number" got scared and started updating itself again, I'm now at 81 and after this it should read 82...

Nothing like a good scare to get things working again...

 

Hmm, that was an odd quote above, it should have been a reply and not a edit...

 

Anyway, THIS should be post # 82 ...

 

this is getting silly, I have added a reply twice, and TWICE the reply ended attached at the bottom of the first post...

Ok, it seems that my post number is growing again as I post more posts. (But I promise; it was stuck for a while!) ;-)

If you add a reply where the last reply in the thread was yours (within a certain time period), it will add to the original reply. I don't know if it's a feature or a bug.

I'm going to run that utility again because I don't know if it finished successfully last night after I went to sleep.

 

If your post counts change again, supposedly they are more "accurate".

Well, now it says "18", and I'm pretty certain that that is not more "accurate" than 80-something...

i am the same. i am not a post whore or dregde up old posts and add my 2 cents just to build my count like a newbie did last night.............he now has over 300 posts.

i find it irritating to start reading a thread for the content only to find its several years out of date.

 

its good to research and look at the archives its another to resurect them several years later to say nothing.

 

any chance on locking threads that over there life expectancy?
