Renewing Retirement Visa

Recommended Posts

I tried to renew a month early one year and they asked if I was leaving the country. When I said no, they said to come back in a couple weeks. So I guess you can renew early if you are not going to be here, but I don't know what the maximum time limit is.

One month is the limit as far as i'm aware depending on the circumstances.

I've renewed mine on two occasion 2008 and 2009 one month before the expiry date due to returning to the UK on business.

I found this on the internet at Siam legal which might refer to 'under normal circumstances'.

Question: How would I go about renewing my Thai retirement visa?

Answer: Be mindful about the expiration date of your Thai retirement visa written in your passport. You must renew your Thai visa at Thai Immigration approximately 2 weeks before the expiration date.
