  1. I worked in Thailand for a Thai company back in 1974 as a microwave telecommunications engineer. I got the job because they were the local sales rep for a California company that I worked for for 7 years. My advice is to try and work a similar angle, if you have experience with a stateside company that does business in Thailand. If not, find a company that does, send them a letter/resume saying that you are interested in working for them in Thailand. I don't advise teaching Enlish as a way to make money---I doubt you can make enough to survive. If all else fails, go home, work like heck, and pay your dues like most of us. You can always come here on vacation.
