  1. I am a United Mileage Plus member. Since they are part of the Star Alliance Group, I earn on United and where possible, try and redeem on Singapore Airlines. It's a little bit longer but the service is much better. Also, since I live in LA, they have a (or used to) have a late night flight out of LA and arrive in BKK in the morning. I hate the late night arrivals and early morning departures. With SIA, I can work during the day, get home, clean up and head to the airport the same day. With all the US based carriers, you basically lose a whole day at you leave sometime in the morning and arrive late the next day. Hope this helps
  2. I was staying at another hotel on Soi 13 and basically walked into the Sandy Spring Hotel. I was not happy with the hotel that I was staying in. After making the reservation with the front desk, I was told that I had to leave a deposit and pay the rest after checking in.
  3. Looks like I will have to change my reservations as well. I was due to stay at the Inn House in January next year but with all the talk of construction going on, I may have to consider another hotel. Maybe I will try the Lek or Welcome Plaza hotel. Thanks to all for your updates.
  4. Hi. Thanks to all for your replies - looks like I made a good choice in booking at the Inn House. Regards kingfisher
  5. Hi Folks. I noticed that there is just one review for the Inn House on Soi 13. Have any members stayed there recently? If so - what were your thoughts? I used to stay at the Haven Hotel but am looking for a change - still prefer staying in Soi 13 due to its central location. I know that a lot of members like the Sandy Springs but I do not like that you have to pay for the entire trip up front. I prefer some flexibility on case I have to change plans. Thanks in advance for any information.
  6. Hi Gordon. How about entering a review of the Inn House? I have always stayed at the Haven Hotel but am loking to "upgrade" since the rooms at the Haven are starting to look its age. When I visited late last year the Inn House was almost ready and I was a couple of weeks early from its opening. I was thinking of staying there during my next visit. Thanks!
  7. Thanks for the update - I will keep my existing reservation at the Ma Maison hotel. Enjoy your stay in LOS!
  8. Hi. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the new Dynasty Inn in Soi13 in downtown Pattaya. I have read that there is a lot of construction going on in Soi13 and want to know how close it is to the new Dynasty Inn. I am planning to be in Pattaya in November this year and was looking at staying at this hotel but wil not if the construction noise is too obstructive in the "early" morning hours. Thanks in advance for your help.
