Was originally meant to fly in January time but circumstances have changed my leave.... I'm arriving at 12:05 on the 20th December.... for approx 3 weeks I've checked all the previously posted threads, UsedTFSE and contacted alot of hotels already, so just hoping for possible cancellations. And the expert knowledge of the BM's! prefer wifi, in-room safe and a central location like Soi Buakhao not Jomtien Thanks in advance..

LK Metropole all the way, its newer more welcoming staff, very nice decor and has the major bonus of location! Nova has the nicer pool and Jamesons close by but otherwise its a walk/motorbike to anywhere lively, depends what kind of area you like staying in

Quick review on the food: Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after a wonder up Soi6, ordered the Sunday lunch and must say its the best i've had in Thailand. 3 courses soup, roast (choice of meat) and desert at a very decent price. I don't usually eat that much but I cleared up all three, so much so it was a struggle to walk back to Soi 3 for afternoon Zzzzz. Just a shame this was at the end of my trip, but i'll definatley be frequenting for some nosebag when I return in January

Had one night in the Sabai Lodge Flipper pool wing, the place is in need of renovation and as already posted the low season pricing is far too much for the quality they can offer against other hotels nowadays. Took a stroll down Soi 3 the next day and ended up booking a room in the BJ holiday lodge for less than the Sabai room. Have nothing but recommendations about BJ Holiday Lodge - fantastic staff, great English, always a smile especially the security guard - great room, sea view, a good size, well cleaned daily - girl friendly - location, same Soi as Welcom inn, 2 min walk to
