Thanks for the comments lads and especially John for the updated review. We try to keep things up to scratch but always appreciate feedback from returning guests who can compare standards to previous visits. We have a few minor modifications in mind for the future but will implement these slowly especially coming into the low season when income can be unpredictable. I'm not sure John would appreciate Mick as a co-habitant during the Rugby though! Will do what I can for those weekends anyway! Thanks again and cheers.

Hi Mick, I've just heard about this thread. Here in Metro we will definitely be showing all Rugby World Cup games. No matter what time - for most of the matches I will be there! As we do during 6-Nations, we will also have some nosh on. Currently we are showing the 6-Nations and Superugby from Astro and stream if/when Astro do not take a game. When possible and on request we have also shown Guinness Premiership, Magners League and Heineken Cup. Fellas, Blackout curtains throughout now. Repainting throughout - almost complete - can't get into some rooms or can't get my painter when I need him! Aircon, several DVD players replaced. Still some things to do - but it is a labour of love! You guys have the girls - I have the Metro!! Would I swap?? Some rooms made bigger and additional aircon added to cope with the extra space. Further amendments/improvements pending. France - Ireland tonight

Tengotodo, Hotels tend to offer/have more facilities: e.g. restaurant, swimming pool, business centre, childcare centre, room service, etc.etc..... Guesthouses offer more basic services, room with/without breakfast, no pool, etc. Metro is probably an above-average guest house with our facilities: air con fan room safe - free hot water shower (some are not heated) kingsize bed cable tv coffee making facility (free coffee in superior rooms) in-room WIFI - free DVD player - free laundry service minibar. Some of the facilities listed free above are charged extra in some guesthouses. Some guesthouses charge for the room and then extra for water and electric. Here that is all included in the room price - hence as I say 'above-average'. In hotels - where they also 0ften charge for WIFI - utilities are included. Hope this doesn't confuse you even more!
