Ya won't find any deals now on EVA Air from the states until mid August. Cheapest fare I saw yesterday when booking my flight was $1238 round trip. Thai is only $1380 and that is non stop.

Hey Gus. NIce toughts about retiring to LOS. I assume that you do not have a pension or you would have mentioned it. I hate to sound snotty but you are about 10 or 11 years short. The dimenishing returns start at about 5 or 6 years, which means you start using up your capital pronto. If you factored in inflation too that makes it worse. By the way Don't you have taxes to pay on the 5% income? Then again you also have conversion issues with the Baht. I'd say you have at a minimum about half what you need. I see this on some of the threads that I open, such as the last bar crawl pictures. Is this a problem with my machine or the posting site? I am not techie on this stuff. I just want to be sure that I am not having the problem on my end and of course I would like to see the pictures.

I was just reading the comments regarding re-issuing mobile phone numbers. I know virtually nothing about this technology. Turn it on an use it, that's about it. Here is my question to you guys who have a handle on this subject. I use a TreO 650. If I take it with me to LOS do I simply buy a new sim card to use in Thailand? One then purchases the amount of time you'd like to have for calls. Will this card allow you to call to anywhere? I assume that all of the phone features will work as usual. Is my understanding about right? Is there anything I should ask for spicifically when
