The Dynasty in Bangkok is actually three (soon to be four) different buildings. The only one not to stay in is the original, where reception is, as the rooms are getting a little worn. If you specify the "new section" the rooms are fine. It's directly across the little soi which runs down from Soi 4, so if you're taking "company" back, you don't have to do the long walk through the coffee shop - not that anyone there cares, but you might be the easily embarassed type ! Staff are great, teak-panelled rooms are clean, and maids now operate 24 hours/day, so you can get your room cleaned anytime. Food is OK, with falang-spicy Thai, and sort of American dishes (what the hell IS creamed beef, or SOS ?). Travel agency on the premises, also god shop if you're feeling REALLY generous. Safety boxes at reception, available 24 hours a day. Laundry service daily. Direct dial phones, good sized firm beds, large fridge with free drinking water, basic soft drinks and beer supplies, and plenty of room to add your own, TV and boom box. Can't think of anything else - oh, the place doesn't have a pool, although one is rumoured to be under construction at the end of the soi. Ask if you have any specific questions.
