  2. I have two young lads from "The Highlanders" (4 Royal Scottish Regiment)staying with me at the moment, they are on leave after completing their 6 month tour of Afghanistan. They are both pipers and will be playing at the service, they are also having a great time playing in Pattaya without the pipes!!!

  4. Whilst the Remembrance Sunday service at the British Embassy is cancelled (If possible they may still hold a small service)the Royal British Legion Thailand Service of Remembrance will still be held at St Nikolaus Church Sukhumvit Road on Friday 11 November, service starts at 10:50am please be seated by 10:40am. 6. Thanks for the impartial report Win, The long term rate is as you say 600 Baht per night and that is for Monthly stays, 28 Days or more. All rooms have a coffee table with either chairs or settee, WIFI like you say is free but I may need to look in to a booster as reports from the top floor are not so good as regards signal strentgh, there is free internet for customers in the bar but please ask for the laptop. 7. Thanks for your comments all, must get on this site more as I added the In Room Safes due to comments on here about our lack of them. I agree also about about the Ladyboys lurking on Soi 6/1, another way to avoid them is to come in oppisite Bangkok Bank on 2nd road, you can drive in and park up. Plenty of spaces and free if you have a drink or meal here, we are also the home of The Royal British Legion in Thailand and meet every Sunday Lunch from 2pm to swing the lamp all Ex services welcome.
  8. Well my friend I rest my case, you cant REMEMBER if it was Saturday or Sunday, 7pm Saturday we were all still watching football but we didnt sell any Roast Beef thin cut or otherwise then again maybe it was a week last Saturday when we had thin cut french fries and soggy doughnuts for the special. If your going to post a bad report about other peoples buisinnesses then at least have the decency to get your facts right, I will accept anything constructive and have done many times but will not accept it from guys ( sorry a guy ? ) who has no idea what time of day or for that matter day it is, su
  9. For Attn JMHO can you tell me the day you were in, It sounds like a Sunday yet at 7pm we were full of people watching football not slagging others off, that normally starts after 10. I have never seen our staff ignore or be unfriendly and as regards the meal I am sure if you had complained at the time that you were not happy you would have got your money back. I have spoken to all my staff yet no body can recall any bad comments etc. Regards Bert
  10. Now, Now John, My ears are in full view so how come you know the size of the other!!!!. Glad China's ok and thanks for the visa e mail. Thanks mate looks just the job, will call in and see Dave
  11. Thanks for all your kind comments gents, I will put room safes in soon but my experiance of them is it maybe a key or a pin number you have to put in yet the girls will always find it!! ( they spray the key board on the safe to find your code!!! ). Safe deposit boxes need 2 keys ( 1 for you, 1 for cashier ) and when used are seen by other guests or staff. Terryni, I hope you call in to see us, all ex Army or any service are more than welcome. Cheers, Tropical Bert
