  1. Planning a Bangkok trip in August, and the Pattaya / Phuket trip in the third week of October. 8-9 am tee times. I'd be happy to buy you a beer or 5 if you're around. Cheers
  2. I like Alpine too, and play it everytime I'm in Bangkok. This time we arrive in the evening, and drive direct to Pattaya, so skipping Apline this time around. We are playing Blue Conyon in Pkuket, so if you haven't already, I'd suggest youplay a round at the lakes course. Personally I prefer Blue Canyon to Alpine. Cheers
  3. Thanks Hwells - Great info. We changed the reservation from the Plantation to the Old Course on this advice. Can't wait to get there. Cheers
  4. Thanks Duece. I have taken your advice and booked Siam CC. They have us on the Plantation Course. Cheers
  5. Gents, I am planning a golf trip to Thailand soon, and would like a golf course recommendation for Pattaya. So far I have locked in Laem Chabang, and I'm thinking either Burapha or Siam CC (either old or new course). Which would you recommend for a group of low handicappers? FYI - We have booked Blue Canyon (Canyon) and Red Mountain in Phuket for the second half of the trip. Can't wait to get there, and will definitely be stopping by the FLB for a few beers. Cheers
  6. I would have thought they'd have one to borrow, to save guests buying one. It is the only hotel I have been to that hasn't had one. If I can't be arsed going to a laundromat then I don't think I'll be going to an electronics store. I think I'll just continue to wear wrinkled shirts.
  7. The only issue I have with the place is they don't have and iron and ironing board available. Hope you enjoy it.
  8. I'm staying in a 1 bedroom now and fully endorse the place. The staff have been very friendly. The room itslef is great. Nice verandas looking out over the pool, 2 tvs, dvd player, fridge, microwave, hotplates, kitchenware, and good furnishings. Nice comfortable bed, and good airconditioning. The breakfast is ok, runs late, and the coupons can be used at any time of the day. The gym is small but has about 130 kgs of bench press weight, and dumbbells up to 50 lbs. So not suited to serious lifters, but good for a quick work out. Guest friendly. 3000 baht including tax and break
