Hi MM. Yes shooting would be between Nov 22nd and Dec 2nd approximately. Yes we would pay people to sit in a bar, with if we can find them ...... girls ...... usually on sets no beer/booze is provided/allowed though. Pay would be 1350 thb becaue of 10% tax deduction. Extra's are usually back ground filling so no close up shot is normally made of extra's. It usually is a 12 hours + 1 (lunch) job. It is a lot of fun usually and a nice way to spend the day. Currently we are well on our way to find the "Farangs" we are having trouble finding bargirls though because production is only willing to pay the girls 500 baht .... I expect that to rise one or 2 days before shooting if they cannot find any girls. No workpermit needed to work as extra in a movie.

For a Danish movie in Pattaya that will shoot between the 21st and the 26th they are looking for 64 extras to sit in a bar. People must be middle age and older and look like a Caucasian barmonger. Payment would be 1500 baht, no WP provided please contact talent.orange@gmail.com

No work permits are given. Tax is being deducted though and paid. Usually a signed copy of the passport is required to go with that. That is the usual way nowadays. Even for the larger speaking roles no work permits are issued. And most of the foreign crews do not have work permits. Even on big productions like Alexander, Shanghai and many others. These movies used close to a 1000 are more western extras! It used to be that no one paid taxes, but that has changed in the past 3-4 years or so. Maybe in the future we will get work permits for this kind of work as well. So far I have never heard about problems regarding this. Sometimes there are a few police officers on the set to help keep people of the set that are not involved in production. W

Your never to old .... just for this particular one ..... usually we have a load of stuff ongoing in this time of the year .... it is just that the Bangkok mayhem canceled a lot of commercials and movies. The only problem for everyone outside of Bangkok is though ..... that your outside of Bangkok ... all the castings are usually done in Bangkok and when a production shoots outside they usually take everyone (including the extras) with them from Bangkok. Only in case of a really big production, like this one, will they look outside of Bangkok close to the location as well! Now we do have some people from Pattaya, Ratchaburi, Hua Hin, Khorat etc in our database but those people are willing to come all the way to Bangkok for castings! And in that case age, sex and build dont matter as there are usually castings around for all different bodytypes/ages. A casting doesn't guarantee you get the part though .....

Look like a soldier/marine (so reasonably fit). Be willing to cut hair to military crew cut. People must be willing to stay in that area for a prolonged time (couple of weeks to a couple of months, we ...do not know exact details yet). Also we do not know the budget yet. Mmmmm I am wondering are these 500.000 baht including or excluding furniture. I have been uo to my gf's village in Udon Thani a couple of times and her familymembers have build nice, basic, houses for 100.000 to 200.000 baht (they build it with the family as most work in construction, so only expenses for materials). My gf and I talked about this and since her mother needs a new house as it floods every year and they have land we are currently saving 200.000 baht to build a house with one farangroom (sitting toilet and aircon). The family say they can do this easily for 200.000 baht (only I have to shell out an extra 20.000 for the aircon at a later date) The houses they build are nice and clean with tiling on the floor and reasonably big, only with Thai style toilets, but even for me and my parents it was nice enough to stay a couple of days. Offcourse I understand that if me and my gf breakup I will loose this. But for 200.000 baht hey it is not a big nightmare even for me who is relatively on a budget. So I wonder, and I would actually like to see pictures, what kind of houses do the others get for 500.000 baht? Waerth
