hi i built lovely bungalow up in phicit when i moved the wife and my two kids up there it cost about 530,000 2 years ago and is made from concrete mostly (cheaper than wood) i also bought a pick up truck new from mitsubishi which i sold about 4 months later easily for a good price cash to an english guy i have now bought a nissan car new which my wife drives (auto) as said before it is an insurance policy if anything happens to me and i am unable to work for a long period in the uk it can be sold to keep my family while i am recovering and remember that whatever you buy for the missus you will never see a return should you break up/ divorce so find a local builder decide what house you want get him to give you a price then buy the plans off him and then put it out to tender to other local builders and you will find a fair price then go back to the original builder and haggle out a price good luck, if you want some pics of house let me know

hi i would live in Bali been there and loved it english speaking atms better hotels cheaper food and better service but not sure about land ownership even taken my thai wife there and she loved it it also has surf active volcanos excellent golf courses worth a look

be careful when buying clubs i have been told that clubs are shorter in asia due to the height of thais etc better get some from england and they are cheap here ie american golf discount

i have stayed in pattaya for years i recommend you dont give anything to anyone begging or small children selling items in the street better to give the money to the orphanage because thats where they generally end up
