Hi. I will be in town in Jan. 07 for the first time and wonder if is a good idea to rent a car at the Banckok airport and have the car for driving around town for the 4 weeks I will be there. Is gas expensive? Will my USA insurance be good in LOS. Thank you for your information, Mikee

Hello. Will be my first trip to LOS in Jan. 2007, I understand there is a weekly meeting of people who have moved to Thailand from other areas of the world. I am intrested in moving to the Pattaya area when I retire in 2 years, and would be interested in attending these "ex-Pat" meetings to learn the rules and regulations of the area.
